BOM item price question

Hi Gurus,

Suppose i have a BOM(7020) which is consisted of items(8001,8002,8005,8006,8008) - Microsoft Demo System Sample

  1. On the “Manage Costs” fast tab of product details for item 8006, i found the prices information as below:

Unit: Floz

Price: 24.00

Price Unit : 128.00

Price Quantity: 1.00

(charges include in the unit price)

  1. i run the calculation for the BOM item 7020, then Click the finish button to open the “Calculate item cost” form.

on this form i found that the cost price information for item 8006 is:

Cost Price per unit: 56

Price Unit: 128

i have no idea the Price 56 from where, can anybody tell me which setting can have impact on this price?

many thanks.

You are looking at the standard cost per unit when calculating the standard series amount. Which itself has a price unit of 128. Have a look at the overview and total cost price per unit or general tab cost price per unit.

Hi Adam,

the Cost price per unit is = 0.88 on the general tab, and i think this value is generated from:

Cost Price Per Unit: 56

Price Unit : 128

Total Consumption: 2

Cost price per unit = 56 / 128 * 2 = 0.875 = 0.88

but have no idea about the 56 from where.

thanks.

It is, I believe, the overall cost of the components consumed when the standard quantity batch of the parent is produced.
