Blank values for option string

Hi I had given option string for an column (Type) in a table as ,City,Local Please note that the first item is only a space. To set the value for that column as City we can use Type := Type::City. If I want to set the value for that column as ’ ’ (first item of option string) what shall do ?? Any Idea?? Thanks

Type := Type::"" //Lars

Joseph If you get stuck, the Sales Line “No.” field is a god place to look at the case statement CASE Type of type::" ": BEGIN // Your END; type::Item: BEGIN // Your END; END; David Cox MindSource (UK) Limited Navision Solutions Partner Email: david@mindsource.co.uk Web: www.mindsource.co.uk

Well! you can juz say Type := 0; and it will assign the first value in the list (which is a space) to the variable. Thnx Rubina

Not good advice! :o( 200 Lines into a CodeUnit and you have to go and find what option 6 is! Always use Type::Item: Not Type::1: Then you know what it is you are looking at! :o) David Cox MindSource (UK) Limited Navision Solutions Partner Email: david@mindsource.co.uk Web: www.mindsource.co.uk
