This may be an odd request, but is there a way to modify the sales and purchase order headers to not generate a date in the “Posting Date” section? I am wishing to do this in order to minimize orders being posted to the wrong dates as we often change this date from its initial order date. My logic is if there is no date, it cannot be posted until it is entered.
You need to modify InitReocrd function in Sales Header Table and Purchase Header Table.
Wyatt, We have had our NSC made a small customization on the form. When posting, a pop-up form is shown with 3 possible choices: 1. Post with workdate 2. Post with actual date (that is, the date in the Sales/Purchase header) 3. Cancel This works fine, and you won’t have to blank or change the Posting Date every time.
