Barcode generation

Hi

My task is to make a label with a barcode. i have tried some different technical solutions, but keep running into some issues when scanning the label afterwards.

I am using MS Dyn NAV 2009 R2 (Classic) on Windows 7 client

  1. PDF1 is generated via BullZip printerdriver from NAV. The barcode itself is a BMP-file, inserted on the label. I can’t scan this label with my scanner.

  2. PDF2 is PDF1 opened in PDF reader and printed to a new file with CutePDF. This is it! Now I can scan the label.

Can anyone explain to me, what the “save to a new file” does or where to look for an answer?
