It links the production of bulk formula products to the production of packed formula products.
Basically in the bakery industry you could have a base mix that is used in a variety of end products. The bulk item is the main item of the formula and hten you have packaging and labels. It is basically a pack order based upon a common ingredient. You need to configure bulk item conversions and maximum quantities in default order settings.
Never used them personally.
