AX09 Financial Statement : Include Opening check box functionality

Hi All,

AX09 : Have a query about the functionality of the ‘Include Opening’ check box in the Financial statement setup in GL → Setup → Financial statement → Financial Statement → Transaction tab.

When this checkbox is ticked, does it mean that amount in the Chart of Accounts codes’ Opening’ Periodic code will be included in the transactions of every month of the financial statements ?

For Example.

Petty cash Coa 1001 JAN 2014 Opening balance : $1000.
Financial statement date : 01/03/2014

Should statement include $1000 in transactions of Feb 2014, even though the Opening amount is in JAN 2014 ?
