Hi world,

Hope someone can help me.

I have a Sales Order and I transferred it to production. When I posted the SO Confirmation, I did not put a warehouse but it was posted successfully. During the Production update-Start, it allowed me.However, when I updated it to Report as Finished, the system won’t allow me because Inventory dimension warehouse is mandatory and must consequently be specified. So what I did is put a warehouse in the dimension tab. Now, system prompts again, “there are transaction with status Reserved ordered for the Dimension of Item AA. Inventory Dimension cannot be changed”. I tried putting a warehouse in SO and confirm it again. Still, nothing happened.

Question: How can I resolve this issue and update it to “Report as Finished”.

Try by doing the Registration of it…

I tried using the registration in Production, entering warehouse. However, the system still says that it has been reserved and inventory dimension cannot be changed.

Reset the status of production to created, delete it. Amend the sales order, recreate production, book it through.

Still I can’t reset the status to created. It has actually sub-productions and I set it to ended. AX said that sub-productions cannot be reversed. And one of its BOM’s cannot be picked-up because of zero Inventory.In fact, all of the BOM’s of that FG don’t have inventories on hand because it has been used up in the production. My Production status now is “Started/Route Consumption” and this came from Master Planning!

Is there any way to delete this production?

Try to remove the reservation manually…

I was able to end the production. What I did is delete the Output Order, Delete SO, and update warehouse in Registration.

Can you please explain the steps and menu path for

  1. delete the Output Order

  2. update warehouse in Registration.

Inventory Management → Inquiries → Output Orders.

Open and select the production order and then click Inventory → Registration → update warehouse there…
