AX 2012 : Mouse Wheel Scroll makes Enum value changed.

Hi all.

I’m sharing a strange case in AX

When I scroll the mouse wheel with mouse focus on an enum field, enum value is changed in a form.

This enum field’s property is not allowed to edit.

The facts that I’ve found out till now are below.

  • This case is not related with security controll : 2 users have same permission, but one has this situation, the other has no issue.

  • This case is not a hardware problem : tested by one latop with 2 users but one has this situation, the other has no issue.

Have anybody ever seen that?

Does anybody know the solution?

I got a solution.

There is a mouse scroll software “FreeWheel”. (

This software occurs the situation. 2 options to prevent.

  1. FreeWheel option control - only use ‘point’ option (do NOT use ‘Focus’ option)

  2. remove freewheel software.
