hi is sql 2014 compatible with visual studio 2010
when i open design it gives error message see below

You need to install Business Intelligence Development Studio as the error clearly says.
Check if you installed it already? it would be under SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2008 in program files in start menu.

Even I faced the same error but after installing sql 2012 instead sql 2014 it worked fine.This is the solution which I have found but not sure of this.
it seems like" Visual studio tools are not installed and we can use vs2010 along with SQL2014
