Ax 2012 installation and Error 1309


I have been trying to install Ax 2012, after providing the credentials, it stuck at the error 1309, which asks to check if the file exists and the user id has rights to access it. I have logged in with domain admin user and the file is at the expected location. The screen shot of the error is as follows:


This was probably happening because of the long path and file name, I copied and pasted the setup files directly to D drive and the error was changed to the following:

I had to download and install Ax 2012 R2 which recently was released and it worked.
