The initial stage of sales order entry is the ‘Create Sales Order’ panel. This is the initial panel where the Customer Account etc. is selected for copying back to the main Sales Order Entry two part screen. In this initial panel it is possible to select the Sales Order Type (under ‘General’ sub-heading to the right of the Sales Order Number). I have noticed that in some AX 2009 environments I have worked with that the order type ‘Quotation’ is present for selection but in others it is not. I am unable to find out why this is or what may control this. Does anyone have any information regarding this phenomenon? Any assistance gratefully received.
