We are currently running AX 2012 R1 with plans to go live on D365FO sometime in Q1 of 2023. The current issue is that the Avalara connector for AX 2012 R1 only supports TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 security. Avalara is discontinuing that connector on Feb 16th, prior to when we will be going live on D365. We need to still be able to use the Avalara functionality in our AX 2012 environment for a short time after Feb 16th, until we go live on D365. Avalara has not been very helpful with providing alternative solutions. One possible solution that we heard of is to host a proxy server on our network that intercepts the TLS 1.0 security traffic from the AX 2012 Avalara connecter and converts it to TLS 1.2.
I am wondering if there is anyone else using Avalara on versions of AX 2012 R1 or prior that are going to face the same issue and how they are accounting for it?
