Auto populate date fields on Sales Order

Is there any way to auto populate date fields on the Sales Order? So when “Requested Delivery Date” is set for December 5^th, is there a way to make “Promised Delivery Date” and “Shipment Date” auto fill the December 5^th date?

Is this something you have to implement through Order Promising Setup, or is there another way?

Yes, “Promised Delivery Date” is set by using the “Order Promissing”
