To answer your question: No, it won’t fail if you follow the setup required by Dynamics AX. If you read the documentation (e.g. Work with users from Active Directory [AX 2012]), you’ll learn the following: If you have AD DS domains, and all the domains in the forest are set up to have two-way trust, Microsoft Dynamics AX recognizes all the users in the domain.
As you can see, the existing documentation can answer many questions; get used to using it.
