I just got my update for Attain 3.01B and have installed it. This is the US version. There are 218 objects in the fob file and I have not gotten any new executables. From what I understand, there were numerous problems in Attain 3.01A. David Rochford Zesco Products 317-269-9300 x188 david@zesco.com
There’s new executables also. Mainly a lot changes/enhancements regarding multilanguage in the IDE and performance issues for SQL Server Option //Lars
Thank you, thats nice to know. I wonder why my NSC didn’t tell me that and just sent the objects? Of course I e-mailed a question to them right after I got the objects and have not heard from them for 24 hours. This proves the value of posting information like this in the forum and seeing if anybody notices anything. David Rochford Zesco Products 317-269-9300 x188 david@zesco.com
I have just received the Attain GB3.01B CD with three hot fixes. Is it just me but the standard of the 3.0X release has only been at beta level. Some of the errors that I have had to fix would have been found just by running the code. I don’t think anybody tried to run the code on SQL (well not with client licences any way). There are a large number of objects in the upgrade and hotfixes that me that result in a major upgrade for any users on Attain. Most of the problems fixed are those which I have had to fix any way. Hello. I hope by now that you’ve gotten the executable part of 3.01.B from your NSC. Since, there was a mention of hotfixes, please note that the US version includes all hotfixes that were out at the time of the release of 3.01.B in the US.
I still don’t have the 3.01b executables yet and I am using SQL. I just found that I cannot post receiving on a purchase order now and that was working before. I get an error message telling me I don’t have permission to run the Custom Fields Transfer codeunit. I heard that Attain 3.01b was fixing many permission errors in 3.01a. But it looks like its introducing a new one as well. David Rochford Zesco Products 317-269-9300 x188 david@zesco.com
It is VERY important that if you run on a SQL-database that you ALWAYS upgrade to the latest version. The last 3-5 hotfixes was mainly aimed at SQL-problems. Palle Arentoft, Product Manager Aston Naviteam A/S Denmark Email : par@astongroup.com
I got the 3.01B executables from my NSC. The install referred to 3.01A a few times during execution but it installed 3.01B. It still did not fix the permission problem on posting a PO. David Rochford Zesco Products 317-269-9300 x188 david@zesco.com
