Asking about work centre consumption in BOM

I’d like to ask about work centre comsumption when making bom version in bom line.

What does it use for ?

It means your BOM is NOT site specific, so you create one generic BOM and depending upon WHERE the production order is being made the system will look to consume the components at that site and warehouse.

I still don’t understand. You means that it will happen if i select the work centre consumption. Is it ?

Imagine you have 3 sites - A, B and C and you manufacture the same product in all three. You could create 3 identical BOM’s. Alternatively you could create ONE BOM with no site and on the line tick “work centre consumption” that enables the system to check (with configuration and version) on where it is being made and to auto-consume from the setup.
