Approved planned orders

Hi,

What is the impact to the mrp if a planned order is approved but not firmed yet?

Thanks,

If a planned proposal is approved, it means that the planner (you) have made a significant analysis and he/she is completely agree with the date and qty planned by master planning, so you can choose to firm-up the proposal o just approve it.

If you firm-up the order, it wont be part of master planning any more and would become a purchase order, production order, etc

If you decide just to approve it, it will remain in master planning, with the same date and qty, even after a regenerative master planning process. The approved proposal could have action/future messages attached to it, but master planning won’t ‘touch’ its date and/or qty. Once it is approved, you can change it only manually.

Hope I understood you well.

Regards
