approval request

Hi all,

Does anybody know where is the “available credit limit” field in a Client card?. This field is in the “approval request entries” but that import should be in the customer card, I suppose.

You can fix the credit limit in the customer card but it is not the same field.

Do you know if there is any way I can introduce a formula to define a approval workflow?. For example I want to define a workflow about credit limits. We want to introduce the following formula,

if credit limit < balance, there must be an autorization from administration department.

Thanks.

Hi

I presume this is version 5.0? I would guess it is calculated from the credit limit less the outstanding balances on the customer card. The approval request will be created at the time through the codeunit. It maybe best to post this in the developers forum, telling them what you are trying to achieve - import the customers? and that you are on version 5.

hi Adam,

thanks for your answer. Ive tested with another customer and that import does not change. I dont understand why.

Hi

You might want to post it here http://dynamicsuser.net/forums/82/ShowForum.aspx as this funcitonality does not exist prior to 5 so exposure to it will be very limited.

As I said I guess the available credit is a flow field based upon the current open orders and the credit limit, therefore you probably cannot “import” into this field. However you should be able to create a workflow approval (I will assume this is another addition in 5.0) as you state, the easy test is then to set up a customer manually with a credit limit of 1 and load a sales order to trigger the approval rule.

thanks Adam,

it’s done!!! I`ve posted it in the right forum!!

This is also arguably the right forum, but some people read only specific forums, so if there are any 5 specialists out there, they are hopefully reading that one!

Hi Adam,

I`ve found the solution. The available credit import is calculated by the following fields:

  • Balance (LCY)
  • Outstanding Orders (LCY)
  • Shipped not invoiced (LCY)
  • Credit limit (LCY) must be reduced.

Thanks!!!.
