Applying a Credit Memo to a Receipt

Hi,

Has anyone tried to apply a credit memo to an receipt.

I couldn’t find any material on this

What I need to happen is after applying the purchase credit memo to the purchase receipt, the invoice created should have the new amount .

I DO NOT WANT TO APPLY THE CREDIT MEMO TO THE POSTED INVOICE, I WANT TO APPLY IT TO THE POSTED PURCHASE RECEIPT.

The short answer is - you can’t!

A purchase receipt is not a financial document in the sense of invoicing and payments. There is not financial value to a receipt, when you only have the receipt, you still don’t know 100% how much the invoice will be.
