AOS out of breath

Hello to all, I have a strange behavior of my AOS, After a restart it works perfect, the speed is ok: a dream. But later, with the same number of user’s it becomes slow, till I restart the AOS again, and so on. That’s why a script stops and restarts the OAS during the night, just to offer to user a beautiful morning, and nightmares during afternoon. I wonder if one of you has experienced the same situation, I agree that the stop & restart isn’t a solution. Configuration 3tier, 1 DB server, 1 Batch, 1 AOS, AXPATA 2.5 & 3 Best regards

How much memory do you have in the server? The AOS will take memory endlessly if no user logs out. Only if every user is logged out, the memory will “recover”, but also not to the initial value. Only stopping/starting will give a clean memory. Regards, Helmut Austria

Thanks Helmut, We have 1Gb memory, the average usage is 50% We use an average of 15% of 4Gb swap file Does it mean that ALL 3tier implementation must restart daily their AOS?

Hi Alfa, Just curious - Have you made any modifications to your system - in particular changes to app objects? Improper modifications would result in slowing down the system. Apart from this - to improve performance you can use Axapta object cache. Regards, Harish Mohanbabu
