Dear All,

Anybody, please tell me whats the use/Difference between alternative Item and Substitution in the Item Card?

My question is, will it Affect MRP/MPS?

Hi,

I’m not sure what the alternative Item is used for as I think it is now obsolete. Item substitutions are used on orders to suggest to the user that sustitutues exist. These are not taken into account when running a MRP/MPs.

But, if there is a substituion Exists why can’t MRP plan accordingly?
