Alternaive Work Centers

Hi All,

I need to know how the alternaive work centers will work in master planning and capacity scheduling.

Does DAX 2009 suports alternative work centers?. If yes, please let me how to configure the same.

Yes you need to use task groups.

Yes, and remember that task groups only work when doing job scheduling.

Thanks Adam for the solutions and used the Task Groups and attached the task groups in the Routes and capacity is been considered for the alternaive work centers also.

One issue, the system is not spliting the Qty for a demand in the Alternative work centers, but if there are 2 sepearate demands then the system considers the alternative work centers. Is it so?

If there are two separate demands is there one suppky element? If supply is one it considers this in planning as per your planning configuration, the demand at the scheudling consideration is irrelevant as this will already have been turned into a supply committment and it is this that is considered.
