Is there any way I can use Navision Security to allow a user to Ship BUT NOT Invoice. If not how could this be achieved.
Have you tried denying the insert rights to table 112/113?
Hi Mark, yes I have but it still lets me post & invoice. I thought that would do it be it didnt.
Paul, there is something wrong, what marq says should work. Is it possible that the user has permission somewhere else?
You would have to make sure they didn’t have Indirect to 112/113 as well.
Hi Guys, the user has the following roles ALL G/L-ACCOUNT INVT-ANALYSIS INVT-ITEM JNL, POST INVT-ITEM/BOM P&P-VENDOR SUPER (DATA) S&R TEST2 S&R-CUSTOMER S&R-POSTED S/I/R/C S&R-TEST S&R Test is a copy of S&R Q/O/I/R/C, Post with tables 112 and 113 deleted and S&R Test2 is a copy of S&R Q/O/I/R/C with table 113 deleted but it still allows me to ship an order and then Invoice it if I log on as him. This one has me baffled, any suggestions?
SUPER (DATA) allows read, insert, modify, and delete access to all tables.
Hi Jack, thanks for the help, that sorted my problem until the next one. Deleted Super (data) but had to add a few tables to my S&R Test role mainly to print a report but what the heck, if it stops them Invoicing they are happy clients.
If I remember right we hade som serious troble at a client trying to control the right to invoice like this. It seemed as cu80 wasn’t built for this kind of security setup. I think we ended up with a checkbox in user setup to control this. I can’t really rembember the actual problem, but it rings a bell in the back of my mind when i see this.
