Hi ,

What is the use of the additional qty field in the Unit conversion form in AX ?

Help Says : Qty added to the unit on conversion .

Please explain with an example and for which kind of material companies will use this functionality ?

Hi Lally,

see this form is for the calculation of quantities on the basis of units specified.

for example: if u create 1 box and want to use box as a quantity in Sales or Purchase, you have to define here how much units will a box contain of an item

like: 1 Box = 10 .

Still if you are confused please let me know about the scenario you are dealing with.

AX2009 I presume? It was to help with industries using reels and conversions down and an attempt to try and aggregate it (I believe). Not present in AX2012.
