A strange behavior of ATTAIN3.60

Hi all, Instalation: - 1 server W2k with TS - 1 server W2k with Attain service installed. - clients W2k Prof installed with Attain3.60, customized installation, without Attain database (the model one) and database.fbk. THe other components are all instaled. All the Windows SP are installed and also the SP for Attain. From time to time is passing a very curios thing. I am in the Relationship Management and I modify the Contact Card, in the part of Comunication, Home page precisly. From time to time, is not a rule, the Attain installation wizard starts, and the workstation where this occures remain blocked (the user in Attain). Localy is not a big problem, but with TS yes. I have to stop the service and than to restart it. ¿Do you have any idea why starts the wizard of Attain? Thank you all

We had a similar problem when we installed Visual Studio 6.0 on a machine with Navision installed on it. Prior to the VS installation any windows user could start navision on the machine, but after it, only the windows user that had installed Navision could start it, other user’s attempts to start Navision would start the installation wizard. In the end we had to reinstall Navision with one of the users that had problems logged in, (with administrators rights). You could give it a try.

I doubt. Where the wizard starts I log like administrador, that is in the TS server. I reinstalled it but don’t work. More ideas or I should speak with MBS España?

Just an idea: - Uninstall navision client - Install navision client the manual way (do a search for a .bat file) - Give full security rights on the navision folder

This is a problem in the registry settings. It mainly affect admin group. But it’s better to get rid of it since it produces a big log. So - solution - Check Server logs for details. You shall find there what NavisionSolutions [:D] is looking for (it diff in diff cases). After that just create a key based on what you find in .DEFAULT (HKEY_USERS) values of registry, just change path of the key to HKEY_CURRENTUSER. Tõnu
