Not that I don’t agree with you. Sometimes it’s just getting too much with all the developers who without doubt are great at C, C#, Java etc. thinks that they can become Navision specialists in no time. I can’t do anything but bring up what I have said many many times over the years. It’s easier to take a certified auditor/accountant and turn him into a good NAV developer, than it is to take someone fresh out of college with a developer degree. I know many of the great people on this site are of the later group (the developers), and of course there are great NAV developers who have learned programming in collega. I’m just saying it’s easier the other way around.
To become a good NAV developer, you must understand the requirements. And to understand the requirements then you need to understand the customers business.
The client want a field in purchase line as you also mentioned "original quantity ordered " but now he alse wants to be some tolerance level will also be set up which is adjustable and also to verify that that things which violate the tolerance level will not be accepted . Pls suggest
