We have a client who has been trying to install the 3.7A server for a few days. They are able to install the client with no problems, however, while installing the server (custom), the installation just stops. If doing the installation as standard, the following message is returned: Error 1406. Could not write value CACHE to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services"servername." Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. Any ideas what this is about? At one time, their system was set up as P to P on a 2003 server, but, they stated that they have reconfigured that to a regular domain and still get the same results.
Are you installing under an Admin account on the Server?
Resolved the problem: there wasn’t a database specified, had to use DOS installation plus the snap-in to designate the database. Also, the license was inadvertently named fin.flf.flf which caused more problems.
