3.70 on Citrix/WTS 2003

There hase been a lot of postings about how to install the client on WTS/Citrix with special scripts and so on. Today I installed 3.70 with latest hotfix on Windows 2003 with Citrix with nothing but standard installation program. Worked perfect. No need to use any installation script, special shortcuts or anything like that. Just a plain install. Just thought I let You know. BTW: Office2003 are also just as simple to install on Citrix and Windows 2003 as on a ordinary PC, so there have been some improvements since Windows2000 and Office2000.

Glad to hear, because we’re currently migrating our database from 2.6 to 3.7 and plan on deploying the Navision Client to users via Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server (sans Citrix, but same concept). Anyone using Targit Analyst along with the Navision 3.7 client on TS or Citrix?

We were told that Targit has been the basis of a new analysis solution, Business Analytics. This new application has a cleint server construction as well as a webinterface, so why do that via Citrix?

All the better, but the Navision Client will still be run from the Terminal Server, so I don’t have to maintain it on a bunch of workstations. We really have no clue what the Targit program looks like, although I’m working with one of Targit’s VPs to get more info. We’re transitioning from Navision Analyst which isn’t offered anymore (thank God) to what our NSC recommended as a replacement (Targit). It appears that Targit will be included in Navision 4.0, when that is released.

Patrick, I’m no expert but please bear in mind that windows ts2003 is not the same as citrix. Beware of the small print!

This I’m quite aware of, as it’s what I do. This specific project does not include Citrix, as it’s a fairly small deployment, so the base TS features are sufficient.
